My core specialties include work to listed building and conservation area consultancy with particular expertise in architectural design and planning matters relating to the change of use of land and buildings for development and the re-use of brownfield land and buildings.
I have acted for a wide range of clients including landowners and farmers, industrialists, developers, contractors, accountants, solicitors, surveyors and architects, educational establishments housing association and local authorities, and private individuals of all shapes and sizes in all sectors of the economy.
I have concentrated more recently on providing architectural design and planning consultancy, where development is involved, in both urban and rural locations and specialise in ‘heritage’ projects. This involves working with Listed Buildings and their settings which often include special landscape considerations, land and buildings in Conservation Areas and other special areas. I have to date been involved with well over one hundred of these projects.
I am also an advisor in Town Planning matters to the membership of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
